Beyond BCP – is a 2½ hour information-packed seminar in which eBRP experts will share their knowledge, experience and vision for the future of the BCM industry.  eBRP practitioners work with some of the world’s largest enterprises, and are exposed to the challenges posed by todays ever-changing business environments.  Executives in today’s organizations demand something beyond the traditional BCM deliverables – and eBRP has the blueprint – Shape of Things to Come

Planning – Addressing the changing business eco-system

In today’s world, new perils are appearing constantly, response time requirements are shrinking, impacts are multiplying, and rags-to-riches-to-rags is a common occurrence. The traditional planning approach – with its Risk Assessment- to-BIA-to-Plan process – no longer supports the needs of today’s organizations, nor its planners. The level of complexity is much higher.  The risks are much greater.  The consequences are direr.  Learn what Planning approaches deliver value, not just paper.

Plans – By the pound vs. Viability

Countless trees have been sacrificed to print BC & DR Plans – fulfilling audit and regulatory requirements, but with little real value.  Most plans are never read at the time of a disaster. Why not?  Because most plans don’t deliver what responders really need.  Plans are only the starting points of responding to an incident.  If crafted with the right ingredients, plans can enable a viable response to any type of incident (not just a few predetermined scenarios).  eBRP practitioners will describe the practical tools and ingredients that help create viable and sustainable plan development programs.

Incident Response – Method, not Madness

Traditional BCM practices lead to the generation of plans, which, in most instances, are designed to respond to standard preconceived scenarios.  Major disruptions in recent memory (Hurricanes Sandy & Katrina, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, terrorist attacks, the financial meltdown…) were previously ‘black swans’ and did not fit into the traditional planning framework. But plans are just milestones.  The ability to respond to any disruption of day-to-day operations – regardless of cause – should be the end-state of every viable BCM program. An effective response to a disruption needs much more than a plan, or a few plans.  With more than 100 years of collective experience, eBRP SMEs will put together a toolkit for real-time intelligent Incident Response.
